Hey there, you! I’m thrilled to gush about one of the most enchanting wedding venues in Aberdeenshire – Meldrum House Country Hotel & Golf Course. Buckle up, folks, because this place is pure magic!
Nestled within a 240-acre estate in the breathtaking Aberdeenshire countryside, Meldrum House is like something out of a fairytale. Imagine a 13th-century baronial country house steeped in history, where luxury is the name of the game. With 51 unique bedrooms, some boasting stunning views across the golf course and countryside beyond, Meldrum House is the epitome of elegance and charm. Plus, did I mention they have one of the finest parkland golf courses in Scotland? Yep, it’s open to residents too!
But enough about the venue, let’s dive into a real-life love story that unfolded right here at Meldrum House. Say hello to Rebecca and Adam, our lovebirds of the day. These two tied the knot on the 2nd of March 2024, and boy, was it a day to remember!
The morning of the wedding greeted us with snow, adding a touch of winter magic to the day. But fear not, folks! The weather gods were on our side, and by the time the ceremony rolled around, the skies had cleared, leaving us with a beautiful, sunny day – the perfect backdrop for a wedding. The morning started off so relaxed with the bridal party getting ready in Meldrum House, and glammed up to the max courtesy of Trisha Cameron Bridal Makeup, while Ashleigh Hird worked her magic on Rebecca’s hair, turning her into the epitome of bridal elegance.
Their wedding took place in the grand Meldrum Ballroom, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Picture this: Rebecca, radiant in her Morilee dress from Blush Bridal, Fraserburgh, and Adam looking dapper in his kilt from Georgian Kilt Hire. And let’s not forget their adorable son James, who melted everyone’s hearts.
As Rebecca and Adam exchanged vows in front of their nearest and dearest, you could feel the love and joy radiating through the room. It was a moment of pure magic, folks, one that reminded me why I do what I do.
After saying “I do,” Rebecca and Adam were showered with confetti in front of Meldrum House’s grand front door, followed by a whole group photo on the majestic stairs. Talk about wedding goals, right?
Next up, cocktail hour was a blast with a magician wowing everyone with mind-bending tricks. Seriously, folks, he was a hit!
Went for a walk around Meldrum Estate to capture some casual, romantic wedding portraits for Adam and Rebecca. Her dress on the Meldrum stairs was just everything.
And then came the pièce de résistance – the reception. The room was alive with the sounds of Celtic Rouge, the band who kept everyone on their feet all night long. Dancing, laughter, and a whole lot of love filled the air as friends and family celebrated Rebecca and Adam’s union in style.
The most amazing wedding day at Meldrum House Country Hotel & Golf Course. If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s equal parts luxury and charm, look no further. Until next time, happy planning, lovebirds!
