Oh, those early days. The snuggles, the bleary-eyed feeds, the smell of baby shampoo lingering in the air. It’s a whirlwind of heart-bursting love and let’s-be-honest… exhaustion. I know it well – and I’ve designed your newborn session to be a little bubble of calm right in the middle of it all.

So if you’re wondering what to expect (and maybe feeling a wee bit nervous about how it’ll all go), here’s what your experience with me looks like – warm drinks, cosy vibes, and plenty of time to just be with your baby.

A Cosy Welcome (And Snacks… always snacks)

First things first – breathe. You’ve made it out the house with a newborn. That alone deserves a medal.

When you arrive at my Peterhead studio, I’ll welcome you with soft lighting, warm drinks, and snacks because let’s be honest… no one should be expected to parent on an empty stomach. You’ll find a comfy seat waiting, and I’ll take it from there. Nappies? Got them. Wipes? Sorted. Need a moment to feed or just have a sit down? You do you – I’ve got the rest covered.

Slow, Baby-Led Sessions

There’s no set-in-stone schedule here. Sessions typically last 2–3 hours, but I allow up to 4 just in case baby needs a feed, a cuddle, or an extra snack break (and honestly, same).

We follow their lead – if they need a moment, we give it. If they’re snoozy and settled, we make the most of it. Everything is calm, gentle, and done with your baby’s comfort in mind.

Styling that’s Simple + Soft (Just Like Your Little One)

My style is all about letting baby shine. I’ve got a beautiful collection of soft wraps, textured knits, and gender-neutral outfits ready to go – all in soft, timeless tones that will look as lovely in 50 years as they do today.

I’ll gently pose your wee one, keeping them comfortable and cosy the whole time. And if you’ve got a sentimental item you’d love included? Or want to bring along your dog for a family photo? Say no more – I’m all in.

After the Shoot: Your Gallery Reveal

Once your images are edited with love and care, you’ll be invited back for your Gallery Reveal – an emotional little moment where you’ll see your photographs for the very first time. (Yes, tissues are on standby.)
